Signing of the ECRA Consortium Agreement on Co-operation in the Area of Risk Management
During the „Workshop on PSA Quality for Decision Making“, held at IAEA from 16 to 20 February 2004 and co-organized by IAEA, NEA, EC-JRC/IE, CENS, GRS; HSK, and USNRC, the opportunity has been taken by CENS (Center for Nuclear Safety, Slovakia), ERI (Energy Research Inc., Switzerland) and GRS (Gesellschaft fuer Anlagen- und Reaktorsicherheit, Germany) to sign the Consortium Agreement of the European Center for Risk Assessment (ECRA).
The main objectives of ECRA are to promote the application of methods of risk assessment and to improve risk communi-cation. As first steps a workshop on regulatory use of PSA and a seminar on the methods of risk and reliability analysis are planned. Further work envisaged is on the development and application of „risk-based safety performance indicators“ and the preparation of „ECRA PSA Quality Guidelines“.
ECRA is open to further co-operation partners.
Congratulations on signing of the ECRA Consortium Agreement (IAEA, Vienna, 17 Febr 2004):
